Shining Tubeshoulder

Sagamichthys abei

Physical Characters : This shiny, black fish has photophores on its belly and a strange tube on each shoulder. These tubes can release a glowing slime. The slime�s glow may distract predatory fishes while the tubeshoulder escapes into the darkness. These are upto 13 inches (33 cm) in size.

Distribution : Mostly these are distributed in nothern and southeastern Pacific Ocean, at depths of 650-3,000 feet (198-914 meters)

Food : They are mostly eating crustaceans, fishes.
